We’ve installed THOUSANDS of dock levelers over the years, and we service all brands; there isn’t a job we cannot handle.

Loading Dock Equipment

American Overhead Door & Dock, Inc. proudly represents the best loading dock equipment the industry has to offer. Whether you are looking to replace a single loading dock in your existing facility or you are looking for help designing your loading dock operation, we are the experts to call. Employing in house masons, millwrights and electricians we can complete anything you are looking to do and provide you with the comfort that it is all getting done with a single phone call.

Vertical Storing Dock Leveler

Vertical dock levelers offer a complete seal when stored in their upright position. This model dock leveler is the perfect option in food warehousing or in a cold storage facility where the clean pit design offers a sanitary solution and allows for the overhead doors to close completely, sealing in the conditioned air. These units are the most robust options for operations with high-frequency and/or heavy loading.

Hydraulic Dock Leveler

Our Fully Hydraulic Dock Levelers are available in rated capacities ranging from 25,000 lbs. to 160,000 lbs. If you are looking to upgrade your facility and would like to operate your loading dock equipment by the simple push of the button, our hydraulic dock leveler is the perfect choice for you. You can go with the simple (1) button control station or a master / combo control panel that provides you with the option to operate multiple types of equipment off of one control. We can also provide the capacity to interlock your dock leveler, overhead door and/or vehicle restraint so that equipment works in a sequence (e.g., so that the dock leveler will not operate unless the overhead door is in the open position), providing additional safety at a critical area in your facility.

Barrier / Roll-Off Stop Lip Dock Leveler

Looking to increase safety and efficiency at your loading dock? A safety lip barrier dock leveler is the perfect solution. The barrier / roll-off stop lip will remain in place if the overhead door is left open without a tractor trailer at the position, preventing potentially fatal and costly accidents. Of the approximately 100,000 forklift related injuries reported each year in the U.S., a significant portion occur when a lift truck is driven off a loading dock.

Vehicle Restraint

Vehicle restraints are one of the most important pieces of equipment you can install at your loading dock. Also called a truck restraint or dock lock, this tool secures a typical tractor trailer in place during loading / unloading by locking around the metal guard at the rear of the trailer (the ICC bumpers / bars that also prevent ‘underriding’ during over the road travel). This is a safer alternative to wheel chocks, which many dock attendants and drivers fail to properly use. This investment keeps your your employees safe during the supply chain process, preventing potentially costly accidents.

Hydraulic Rail Ramp

Hydraulic Rail Ramps are like vertical-storing hydraulic dock levelers, but for loading / unloading rail cars. Typically, these units are installed at the edge of the building where the rail dock runs parallel, mounting to the face-of-wall and lowering to rest on the rail car bed by means of push-button operation. Units can be fabricated so that operators can shift the unit a few feet from side to side for alignment with the rail car doors. Most often, the hydraulic rail ramp is installed in conjunction with an inflatable dock shelter.

Hydraulic Elevating Dock Lift Table

Hydraulic Elevating Scissor Lift / Dock Lift Tables from Pentalift Equipment are available in capacities ranging from 3,000 lbs. to 20,000 lbs. to provide maximum efficiency at ground level loading / offloading applications. Featuring scissor legs constructed of one-piece solid steel and electrically-operated via hydraulic cylinders, these units are typically pit-mounted or surface-mounted, and also come in low profile models. Custom sizes with features for specific operational needs are available.

Mechanical Dock Leveler

The mechanical dock leveler is designed and built to provide superior product value through prolonged, trouble free performance. Its semi-automatic operation requires no manual lifting. These are some of the smoothest operating dock levelers on the market, and are operated by a simple pull chain release at the rear of the deck. The spring-assisted mechanism releases the deck plate, which is then ‘walked down’ by the dock attendant so the lip extension rests in the bed of the truck.
